Elisabeth Sorenson Recognized by Applied Health Science Department at Wheaton College (Ill.)

Wheaton College student Elisabeth Sorenson of Glen Cove, New York was recently recognized with the Jack L. Swartz Service Award by the Applied Health Science Department. The award was announced at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation.

The Jack L. Swartz Service Award is given by the Applied Health Science Department to a student who demonstrates a sacrificial spirit of service within the major or across campus and shows great promise in contributing to society through a service-oriented career.

Applied Health Science at Wheaton College is focused on the theoretical and applied aspects of human health sciences and how best to care for the human vessel God has created in His image. Majors enter a variety of careers, including research in human health and movement sciences, public health sectors, medicine and allied health fields, human performance, fitness and wellness, and nutrition.
