Erik Swanson Recognized by the Biology Department at Wheaton College (Wheaton, Ill.) for Successful Completion of Honors Program

Wheaton College (Ill.) graduate Erik Swanson of Edina, Minn. successfully completed the Wheaton College Honors Program in biology. The Biology Department recognized Swanson for his achievement at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation.

Students accepted into the Biology Department's Honors Program are required to maintain a 3.5 overall grade point average in their major, take a course for honors credit, write an honors thesis and defend it before a faculty committee. Swanson completed all program requirements and upon graduation received a special certificate indicating the honors designation.

The Biology Department at Wheaton College introduces biology majors and other students to the concepts and role of biology as an integrative science, helping them to discover and interpret the characteristics of nature as part of God's creation.
