Matthew Cox Receives Department of the Army Superior Cadet Award at Wheaton College (Ill.)

Wheaton College (Ill.) student Matthew Cox of Mt Vernon, Texas was recently recognized with a Department of the Army Superior Cadet Award.

Cox was selected by professors in the Military Science Department at Wheaton College as the cadet with the best overall performance in his class. The award was announced at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation.

The purpose of the Army Reserve Officer's Training Corps is to enable college students to pursue a course of study which will qualify them, upon graduation, for appointment as officers in the United States Army, Army Reserve or National Guard.
