ROTC Cadet Timothy Henry Receives The Sophomore Leadership Award at Wheaton College (Ill.)

Wheaton College (Ill.) student and ROTC cadet Timothy Henry of Fort Myers, Fla. received the Sophomore Leadership Award. The honor was announced at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation.

The Sophomore Leadership Award is given to the sophomore cadet with the best leadership skills and the most potential for great leadership in the future. Henry was selected by peers and approved by military science leadership.

The Military Science Department at Wheaton College cooperates with the Army to commission competent, confident, and caring junior leaders for the United States Army. It is committed to providing the nation with leaders who take seriously their responsibilities to serve their country and their God honorably.

The purpose of the Army Reserve Officer's Training Corps is to enable college students to pursue a course of study which will qualify them, upon graduation, for appointment as officers in the United States Army, Army Reserve or National Guard.
