Rachel Reamer Honored by Wheaton College (Ill.) Pre-Health Professions Program

Wheaton College student Rachel Reamer of New Castle, Pennsylvania recently received the Ruth Kraft Strohschein Scholarship. This award was announced by the Pre-Health Professions Program at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation ceremony.

The Ruth Kraft Strohschein Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship offered by invitation only to junior and senior students who intend to pursue a career in medicine as an allopathic (MD) physician. Applicants are asked to submit a resume along with an essay relating their professional development and pathway to medicine. Reamer also received the McKenna Family Urban Health Professions Scholarship. The McKenna Scholarship is awarded to junior students pursuing a future career in medicine or dentistry in an underserved urban setting and who have at least a 3.3 GPA. Applicants are asked to submit a resume along with an essay describing their past experiences and current involvement in an underserved urban setting.
