Wheaton College (Ill.) Basketball Player Aston Francis Earns All-Region Honors

Wheaton College sophomore Aston Francis of Tyler, Texas was named to the D3hoops.com All-Central Region Men's Basketball Team.

Francis led the Wheaton Thunder and the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin with 23.9 points per game this season. He also set a new Wheaton single-season record for three-pointers this year with a total of 94 three-pointers.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
