Wheaton College (Ill.) Basketball Player Aston Francis Recognized as Player of the Week

Wheaton College basketball player Aston Francis was named Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).

This is Francis' second Player of the Week award from the CCIW this season. Francis, of Tyler, Texas, is ranked 19th among all Division III players in points per game and is 25th in the nation in three-pointers per game.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
