Wheaton College (Ill.) Basketball Player Katie McDaniels Named All-Conference Most Outstanding Player

Wheaton College basketball player Katie McDaniels of Shoreview, Minnesota was honored as the Most Outstanding Player by the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) for the second consecutive year.

McDaniels, a senior for the Wheaton Thunder, was a unanimous First Team All-CCIW selection for the third consecutive year to earn her fourth career All-CCIW recognition. She is the sixth Wheaton women's basketball player to be named the CCIW's Most Outstanding Player in program history and the first Wheaton player to win the award twice.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
