Wheaton College (Ill.) Inducts Nathan Vanderpoel into Alpha Kappa Delta National Honor Society

Wheaton College (Ill.) student Nathan Vanderpoel of Fairfax, Va. was recently inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the national honor society recognizing high achievement in sociology. The Department of Sociology at Wheaton College presented the honor to Vanderpoel at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation.

Alpha Kappa Delta exists to promote social research for the purpose of service. The honor society is open to students majoring or minoring in sociology. Inductees are required to have taken at least four courses in the field of sociology with a GPA of at least 3.0 while maintaining an overall GPA of 3.3.

The Department of Sociology at Wheaton College introduces students to classic and contemporary literature in the study of social interaction and forms a basis for a wide range of career options.
