Wheaton College (Ill.) Men's Soccer Team Wins CCIW Championship

Tyler Robbins, a freshman on the Wheaton College men's soccer team, recently helped the Thunder win the 2015 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship. Robbins, of St. Charles, Ill., is a graduate of St. Charles East High School in St. Charles, Ill.

The Thunder secured their fourth consecutive CCIW title with a 4-1 win over North Park University on October 31.

The team followed up their CCIW victory with an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament, where they reached the Sectional Semifinal round. The Thunder finished the 2015 season with a 15-4-3 overall record.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
