Wheaton College (Ill.) Senior Katie McDaniels Named All-Conference Player of the Week

Wheaton College senior Katie McDaniels of Shoreview, Minnesota was named women's basketball Player of the Week by the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).

This is the ninth time in her career that McDaniels has earned the CCIW Player of the Week award. McDaniels ranks second in the CCIW in scoring with an average of 19.9 points per game.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
