Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Athlete Hannah Roeske Earns All-Midwest Region Honors for Indoor Track and Field

Wheaton College student Hannah Roeske of Eleva, Wisconsin, earned Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field All-Midwest Region recognition from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Roeske was All-Region in three individual events: the one-mile run, the 3,000-meter run, and the 5,000-meter run. Roeske's school-record time of 4:55.75 in the one-mile run is the fastest time in the Midwest region this year. She also recorded the third-fastest time in the region in the 3,000-meters (9:48.53) and was fifth in the region in the 5,000-meter run (17:30.00). Roeske's fourth All-Region honor was as a member of the distance medley relay.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
