Wheaton College (Ill.) Student-Athlete Kathleen Park Recognized by College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin

Kathleen Park, a member of the women's tennis team at Wheaton College, was recognized by the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin as CCIW Tennis Player of the Week during the spring 2016 semester.

Park, of Belvidere, Illinois, is a graduate of International Community School.

The Thunder women's tennis team won the 2016 CCIW Automatic Qualifier Tournament and reached the first round of the NCAA Championships. They finished the season with an 18-2 overall record.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
