Wheaton College (Ill.) Student-Athlete Kirsten Nitz Recognized by College Sports Information Directors of America

Kirsten Nitz, a member of the women's swim team at Wheaton College, was recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America as a member of the Academic All-District 7 At-Large Team during the spring 2016 semester.

Nitz, of Frankfort, Kentucky, completed a homeschool curriculum.

The Wheaton College women's swim team won their 19th consecutive CCIW championship and completed their season with a 10th place finish at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
