Wheaton College (Ill.) Student-Athlete Michael Swider Recognized by D3football.com

Michael Swider, a member of the football team at Wheaton College (Ill.), was recognized by D3football.com as Third Team All-Region at linebacker during the Fall 2014 semester.

Swider, of Wheaton, Ill., is a graduate of Wheaton North High School in Wheaton, Ill.

The Wheaton football team posted an 11-1 record in 2014 and won its second CCIW Championship in three seasons. The Thunder advanced to the second round of the 2014 NCAA Division III Football Playoffs.

Wheaton College (Wheaton, Ill.) sponsors 21 varsity sports and is a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984 and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
