Wheaton College (Ill.) Student-Athlete Sarah Frey Recognized by College Sports Information Directors of America

Sarah Frey, a member of the women's soccer team at Wheaton College (Ill.), was recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America as First Team Academic All-District during the fall 2015 semester.

Frey, of Lutherville, Md., is a graduate of Notre Dame Prepatory School in Towson, Md.

The Wheaton women's soccer team won the 2015 CCIW Championship and finished the season with a 16-7 overall record. The Thunder advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament, their 19th-consecutive appearance in the postseason tournament.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III Individual National Championships all-time.
