Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Christopher Dingfield Named Swimmer of the Week

Wheaton College student Christopher Dingfield of Jacksonville, Florida, was honored as Swimmer of the Week by the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW).

During a dual meet at Calvin College, Dingfield posted times of 52:04 in the 100-yard butterfly and 1:55:70 in the 200-yard butterfly. Both times are the best in the CCIW this season. Dingfield is the reigning CCIW Champion in the 200-yard butterfly and was also the runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly at last year's CCIW Championships.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
