Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Christopher Lee Receives Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award

Wheaton College senior Christopher Lee was recently honored with the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award from the Lincoln Academy of Illinois. The Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award recognizes seniors from each of Illinois' four-year colleges and universities and one student from the state's community colleges. Student laureates are honored for their leadership, service, and excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities.

Lee received the award from Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner at a November 12 ceremony in Springfield. In addition to a certificate of achievement, Lee received a Lincoln Academy Student Laureate Medallion and an educational grant of $1,000. Lee, of Indianapolis, Indiana is an Applied Health Science major and a member of the varsity track and field and varsity cross country teams at Wheaton.
