Jillian Marcantonio of Middletown, N.J. was awarded the Violet Bergquist Scholarship by the Foreign Languages Department at Wheaton College (Ill.).

The Violet Bergquist Scholarship is a monetary award given to an outstanding upperclassman who is preparing to teach French or Spanish, or to use either language in Christian service. Marcantonio was recognized as a scholarship recipient at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation.

The Foreign Languages Department exists to prepare graduates to serve the church and society by fostering clear communication and cultural understanding.
