Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Jordan Tuin Earns All-Region Honors

Wheaton College student Jordan Tuin of South Elgin, Illinois, earned All-Midwest Region recognition in outdoor track and field from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Tuin picked up all-region honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Tuin's season-best effort in the event was a time of 10:50.4 at the Occidental Distance Carnival Spring Break Classic on March 10. The mark was also a qualifying time for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio, where Tuin was one of 22 competitors in the event.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
