Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Justin Ancona Named Tennis Player of the Week

Wheaton College senior Justin Ancona of Belvidere, Illinois, was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season.

This selection marks the fifth time in his career that Ancona has been named Player of the Week. Ancona is ranked sixth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Central Region and 37th nationally. Ancona is 17-2 in singles play this season and has won 12-consecutive matches.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
