Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Katie McDaniels Selected to Academic All-America Team

Wheaton College student Katie McDaniels of Shoreview, Minnesota was selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Division III Women's Basketball Team.

McDaniels is a senior Applied Health Science major at Wheaton College with a 3.85 cumulative grade point average. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program honors student-athletes annually who have succeeded at the highest level in athletics and in the classroom.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
