Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Leif Van Grinsven Earns All-America Honors in the Decathlon

Wheaton College sophomore Leif Van Grinsven of Franklin, Wisconsin, earned All-America recognition in the decathlon by finishing in the top eight at the Division III Championships. Van Grinsven finished the two-day event with 6,585 points to finish seventh in the 20-man field.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
