Wheaton College (Ill.) Student Matt Robertson Recognized by Physics Department

Wheaton College student Matt Robertson was recently recognized with the Joseph Spradley Outstanding Physics Student Award. This award was presented at Wheaton College's Honors Convocation.

The Joseph Spradley award is given to the senior physics or engineering student with the highest GPA in physics courses.

Robertson also received the Physics Merit Scholarship. The Physics Merit scholarship is a merit-based award based on academic performance, service/involvement in the department, and a strong indication of pursuing physics after graduation.

Through a combination of rigorous coursework, hands-on laboratory training, and research experience, the Physics Department at Wheaton College prepares students for going on to graduate school, physics teaching, industrial careers, and a variety of other jobs that take advantage of the analytical and problem solving abilities of physicists.
