Wheaton College (Ill.) Women's Swim Team Wins CCIW Championship

Carrie Bai, a sophomore on the Wheaton College women's swim team, recently helped the Thunder win the 2016 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) championship. Bai, of Manvel, Texas, is a graduate of Brazoswood High School.

This year's win is the Thunder's 19th consecutive win in the CCIW Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. During the February 11-14 match in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., the team compiled 867 team points to finish well ahead of Carthage's second place total of 637 points.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
