Wheaton College (Ill.) Wrestlers Compete at Division III Wrestling Championships

Three members of the Wheaton Thunder wrestling team competed in the 2016 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships held on March 11-12 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Stephen Aiello represented Wheaton at the 174-pound weight group, Logan Walkup competed at 184 pounds, and Mikey Swider competed at 197 pounds. Swider finished seventh in his weight class to earn All-American recognition from the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

Wheaton College sponsors 21 varsity sports, and Thunder teams compete at the NCAA Division III level. The Thunder Athletics program has won five NCAA Division III Championships since 1984, and Wheaton student-athletes have won 31 Division III individual National Championships all-time.
