Nyameye Adom and Tyson Cruickshank earn All-CCIW recognition in men's basketball
The Wheaton men's basketball program placed two players on the 2019-20 All-CCIW Team, announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Nyamaeye Adom picked up a unanimous First Team All-CCIW honor with fellow sophomore Tyson Cruickshank earning Second Team recognition. Cruickshank earns his first career All-CCIW recognition with a Second Team nod. The sophomore guard is averaging 14.8 points per game this season. Cruickshank is second on the team with an average of 5.9 rebounds per game and also second on the squad in assists with 3.0 per game. He leads the Thunder in steals with an average of 1.0 steals per game. In Wheaton's 16 CCIW games this season Cruickshank posted an average of 14.1 points per game and he shot 47.3% (79-of-167) from the field. He averaged 6.2 rebounds per game against league foes. He also averaged 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game in conference play.

Nyameye Adom and Tyson Cruickshank earn All-CCIW recognition in men's basketball
The Wheaton men's basketball program placed two players on the 2019-20 All-CCIW Team, announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Nyamaeye Adom picked up a unanimous First Team All-CCIW honor with fellow sophomore Tyson Cruickshank earning Second Team recognition. Adom earns his first All-CCIW recognition with a breakout sophomore campaign. He is averaging a team-best 18.7 points per game this season, a mark that ranked second in the league. He has posted a 46.2% (169-of-366) field goal percentage, including 43.1% (31-of-72) from three-point range, this season. Adom has shot 78% (99-of-127) at the free throw line. He leads the Thunder with 3.8 assists per game and has averaged 4.2 rebounds per game this season. He ranks in the CCIW top-10 in field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage, assists and free throw percentage. In Wheaton's 16 CCIW games this season, Adom averaged 17.5 points per game. His 46.2% (102-of-221) field goal percentage in league games ranked third in the league, and his 46.5% (20-of-43) three-point field goal percentage in league play ranked third. His 4.1 assists per game against conference foes ranked third in the CCIW.

Favor Ezewuzie earns third straight CCIW Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor
Wheaton senior Favor Ezewuzie has been named the CCIW Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning. This is the third-straight week that Ezewuzie has won the award and marks the sixth time in her career. She also has won the award twice in her career during the outdoor season. Ezewuzie won three events last Friday at North Central's Pat Heenan Invitational, winning the 60 dash (7.65), 60-meter hurdles (8.72), and 200-meter dash (25.18). She also placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.31 meters. Her time in the 200-meter dash established a new program record and is the third-fastest time in Division III this season. Her time in the 60 dash and 60-meter hurdles rank second nationally. All three times are currently tops in the CCIW.

Favor Ezewuzie named CCIW Athlete of the Week for the second-consecutive week
Favor Ezewuzie was named a CCIW Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, earning the honor for the second-consecutive week. The recognition marks the fifth time in her career that Ezewuzie has been named the Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week - also earning the recognition on February 4 2019; February 12, 2019; February 13, 2018 and February 21, 2017. She has also won the award in outdoor track & field twice: April 9, 2019 and March 26, 2019. Ezewuzie won three events (60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash) and was second in another (long jump) at University of Chicago's Windy City Invitational last Saturday. Her times of 7.57 (60 dash), 8.76 (60 hurdles) and 25.25 (200 dash) all rank first in the CCIW and second, third and fourth, respectively, on the NCAA Division III national list. Her time in the 60-meter hurdles also tied a facility record.

Wheaton's Rinne wins second CCIW Men's Swimmer of the Week honor
Wheaton junior Will Rinne won his second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Swimmer of the Week honor on Tuesday. A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts and the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, Rinne set a new lifetime best in the 400-yard IM during a double dual meet versus Augustana and North Central on Saturday. His time of 4:05.05 is ranked 45th in the nation and is fourth all-time in program history. Rinne also swam a CCIW-leading 100-yard butterfly, clocking a time of 49.54, which is only 0.2 seconds off of an NCAA "B" cut and 0.5 seconds off of his own school record. His time is also ranked 31st in the nation.

Hannah Frazier named CCIW Player of the Week for third time this season; also named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week
Senior forward Hannah Frazier has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Week in women's basketball, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Additionally, on Tuesday she honored as a selection to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. Frazier has earned the CCIW Player of the Week recognition three times this season, and this is the 10th time in her career that she has been the recipient of the CCIW's Player of the Week award. She also earned the recognition on December 2, 2019; November 12, 2019; February 11, 2019; February 4, 2019; December 31, 2018; December 17, 2018; Jan. 8, 2018; Jan. 15, 2018, Feb. 2, 2018 and December 17, 2018. Frazier averaged 19.5 points and six rebounds per game in Wheaton's road victories at Illinois Wesleyan and Carthage last week. In Saturday's victory over the Lady Reds, Frazier finished with 25 points, 21 in the second half, to go with five rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and a steal. She finished with 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals in Wheaton's 62-59 win over Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday night. The First Team All-American is averaging team-highs of 17.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this season for the Thunder. In Saturday night's win over Carthage, Frazier moved into seventh on Wheaton's career scoring list with 1,297 career points.

Ezewuzie was recognized as the Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the fourth time in her career - also earning the recognition on February 12, 2019; February 13, 2018 and February 21, 2017. She has also won the award in outdoor track & field twice: April 9, 2019 and March 26, 2019. Ezewuzie won the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday at the Olivet Nazarene Invitational. Competing in her first meet of the 2020 season, Ezewuzie finished with a time of 8.80, which currently ranks first in the CCIW and fourth on the NCAA Division III national list.

Sarah Tomich and Sara Bakke earn recognition as First Team Division III All-Americans from United Soccer Coaches
Wheaton College junior Sarah Tomich and sophomore Sara Bakke have each been named a 2019 First Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches. Tomich is a repeat First Team All-American and Bakke earns the recognition for the first time in her career. Bakke had a breakout sophomore season for the Thunder, also earning First Team All-Region recognition as a midfielder. She led Wheaton in total points with 22 this season. She scored five goals with a team-high 12 assists.

Wheaton's Pardridge Named CCIW Women's Swimmer of the Week
Wheaton freshman Abby Pardridge was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday. A native of DeKalb, Illinois and Rosary High School, Pardridge had a breakout weekend at the 39th Annual Wheaton Invitational held Friday and Saturday. On one week of rest, she swam lifetime bests in the 50 backstroke (27.46), 100 freestyle (52.95rs), 200 freestyle (1:58.36rs), 100 backstroke (58.84) and 100 butterfly (57.60). She also swam a season-best and CCIW-leading 200 backstroke (2:05.33), which was Pardridge's second-best time of her career. She now leads the CCIW in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly. Her 100 backstroke is fifth all time in Wheaton history, while her 100 butterfly is sixth all time, and her 200 backstroke is fourth all time.

Wheaton College senior Dallas McRae has been named to the Division III All-American Team by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). There have been 18 AFCA Division III All-American selections from Wheaton through the years, including seven since 2010.

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its All-Conference football team on Wednesday. Wheaton was well represented with 17 All-CCIW selections, a new school best. Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. Senior Phillip Nichols earned Second Team All-CCIW honors for his third career All-Conference recognition at wide receiver. He was a Second Team All-CCIW honor at receiver in 2018 and a First Team pick in 2017. In CCIW play this year, Nichols caught 41 passes in seven games. He averaged 15.7 yards per catch with 645 receiving yards. The senior made five touchdown catches in conference play this season.

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its All-Conference football team on Wednesday. Wheaton was well represented with 17 All-CCIW selections, a new school best. Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. Sophomore running back T.J. Williams also picked up Second Team All-Conference recognition. Williams ran for 693 yards in CCIW play this season on 108 attempts as he averaged 6.4 yards per carry. Williams had 15 receptions this season for 142 yards, averaging 9.5 yards per catch. He ran for six touchdowns this season and had a pair of touchdown catches.

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its All-Conference football team on Wednesday. Wheaton was well represented with 17 All-CCIW selections, a new school best. Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. River Shindledecker earned Second Team honors on the defensive line. Shindledecker made 29 total tackles in league action, including 16 solo tackles. He made 11 tackles for loss in league play (-61 yards), including 6.5 sacks (-49 yards). He was tied for the team lead in sacks an added seven quarterback hurries, tying for the team lead.

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its All-Conference football team on Wednesday. Wheaton was well represented with 17 All-CCIW selections, a new school best. Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. Jake Holaday earned Second Team honors on the defensive line. Holaday was third on the team with 38 tackles in conference play, including 18 solo tackles. The junior made 7.5 tackles for loss (-28 yards) in conference play, including 2.5 sacks (-18 yards). He had three quarterback hurries, forced one fumble and recovered a fumble.

Senior Caden Sigler earned Second Team All-CCIW recognition at defensive back. Sigler tallied 17 total tackles in league play, including nine solo stops. Sigler had three passes broken up and returned two interceptions for 100 yards in league play.

Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. Thunder kicker Griffin Bowes earned First Team All-CCIW recognition. Bowed converted nine of his 13 field goal attempts in CCIW play this season. The senior had a season-long kick of 46 yards in league action. Bowes made 54 of his 56 PAT attempts this year.

The senior averaged 17.4 yards per play and had 10 touchdown catches in conference play.

Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. Ryan Schwartz picked up First Team All-CCIW honors at linebacker. In eight conference games, Schwartz had 58 total tackles, including 40 solo tackles. He recorded five tackles for loss (-24 yards) in conference action with one sack (-yards). He recovered one fumble in league play.

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its All-Conference football team on Wednesday. Wheaton was well represented with 17 All-CCIW selections, a new school best. Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. McRae is joined on the All-CCIW First Team by fellow defensive lineman Patrick O'Connell. In CCIW play, O'Connell had 30 total tackles, with 22 solo stops. He made 10 tackles for loss (-39 yards), including five sacks (-24 yards). O'Connell is a three-time All-CCIW selection earning First Team honors in 2018 and Second Team recognition in 2017.

Additionally, Wheaton won two special awards. Thunder head coach Mike Swider was named the Bob Reade Coach of the Year and defensive lineman Dallas McRae was named the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year. McRae was named as the Defensive Player of the year and picked up First Team All-CCIW honors. It is McRae's second-consecutive All-Conference selection, earning Second Team honors in 2018. The senior defensive tackle is the 13th Wheaton student-athlete to win the Don Larson Defensive Player of the Year Award. His selection marks the fifth time in six years that a Wheaton player won the Defensive Player of the Year Award. Overall this season McRae had 43 total tackles, including 28 solo hits. He lead Wheaton with 15.5 tackles for loss (-86 yards), including 6.5 sacks (-57 yards). In CCIW play, McRae led the Thunder with 13.5 tackles for lost yardage this season (-77 yards), and he tied for the team lead with 6.5 quarterback sacks (-57 yards). He tallied 34 total tackles this season, including 23 solo stops. McRae forced a fumble and registered a team-best seven quarterback hurries.
